HVAC Control Products > Communication Protocols

American Auto-Matrix (AAM) introduced the first facilities automation system to offer open architecture, generation-to-generation compatibility, distributed intelligence, direct digital control (DDC), and object-oriented programming.

Knowing that the facility owner has choices only enhances our desire to have the best products on the market. That is why the AAM architecture has been designed to offer our customers the most flexible solutions. This is exemplified in the protocols we offer.

Proprietary:

Our PUP and PHP protocols have been developed with backwards compatibility in mind and are used with our SOLO and SBC product lines to provide customers with a solution for system architectures that have an expressed need for a closed, proprietary solution.

BACnet:

By taking advantage of the BACnet standard in our NB line of controllers, American Auto-Matrix gives its customers the interoperability they desire and the security of knowing that they are not locked to a single vendor. This encompasses all aspects of a facility including card access, fire and life safety, security, lighting, and HVAC.

Through the use of powerful proprietary and open protocols AAM is able to offer flexibility combined with backward compatibility and constant future innovation, meeting every building automation need.
